Profile of Dr. Hou Jiang-hua:
Dr. Hou Jiang-hua is a lecturer in School of Economics and Political Science, Shaanxi Normal University. Graduated from Institute of China Rural Studies, Huazhong Normal University, he is mainly engaged in the study of democracy and politics at grass-roots level. And he has investigated more than 60 villages and communities since 2008.
Abstract:
This lecture will make a comprehensive introduction about the origin, aims and contents of "understandings of China rural areas” project. And it also will make comments on the exploration of rural areas from the perspective of regional comparison as well as the "relationship-behavior "paradigm.
