Research interests: British history, European medieval history and world civilization
Abstract:
Dr. Liu has been working hard in the field of urban studies in medieval Western Europe for a long time, and has made great achievements and put forward many new views and viewpoints. In this lecture, Dr. Liu will explain these points from the following 3 aspects: 1. the economic power of the rise of Medieval Western European cities; 2. the medieval city of modern civilization factors breeding; 3., the late medieval city crisis and its transformation.
