On June 5-6, 2017, Academic seminar of “Society, Medicine and Culture in the Perspective of Eurasian Civilization” was successfully held in Huaide Hall, Yanta Campus. And Sub-topic of “Experience of medical anthropology” was about the communication between Lanzhou University and "Windrunner" Team of Shaanxi Normal University.
At the beginning, Prof. Wang Jianxin from Lanzhou University introduced his medical research team in hospitals, urban communities and remote villages, and made a brief analysis of the regional patterns of medical anthropology in China. Then, Prof. Li Huacheng summarized his research ideas about the social history of medicine from "origin, content and outlook of anthropological research program in Chinese rural areas", "the development of Western medicine" and "survey of Chinese medicine". Song Jie and Jiang Peijun on behalf of "Windrunner" Team share their problems in the field investigation. Such as: the lack of skills to communicate with the interviewer; lack of related background due to generation gap as well as the lack of theoretical guidance of anthropology, etc.
